Workshop

Toothpaste Engineers

A workshop designed to make students reflect on something they use everyday - there might be more design and chemical engineering to toothpaste than they think!

Toothpaste Engineers

Is this experience available at your school?

Check here, it just takes a second. If it's not available we'll direct you to experiences that are!

In this hands-on and messy workshop, students will create and test their own toothpaste recipes, exploring the properties and chemical engineering behind something that they use everyday.

This workshop is a firm favourite with many children, and they will also learn lots of key information about teeth and why it is important to brush them.

They will become engineers, identifying problems and creating and experimenting with solutions.

This workshop is 1 hour long, and all materials and resources will be provided, including table covers and children's aprons. The workshop is best delivered in a classroom, or a technology room with empty tables.

Cost is £5 per pupil.
