Our wind turbine activity allows pupils to learn how a wind turbine works, how they are engineered and constructed.

Pupils use our redesigned kits to build their own wind turbine and measure the energy generated. By adjusting their design, each team is tasked to create and record the most efficient wind turbine.

This workshop is suitable for progression steps 3 & 4 and lasts for approximately 2 hours for a class of 30 pupils. Multiple classes and year groups can also be catered for.

Capacity

Minimum of 2 participants, maximum of 30 participants.

Cost

Full day £495 to accommodate 2 classes, 2 full days £850, 3 full days £1200. Days do not have to be booked consecutively.

Funded workshops are available for secondary schools in Ceredigion Local Authority.

Duration

Flexible - timings can be discussed when booking the experience, half days available on request.
