RWE Virtual Work Experience

Discover how offshore wind helps power homes across the UK and explore the wide range of careers behind one of the country's fastest-growing renewable energy industries.

RWE Virtual Work Experience

In this flexible virtual work experience programme, students will learn how offshore wind farms are designed, built and operated, while gaining insight into the engineering, environmental and technical challenges involved. Through videos, interactive activities and real-world case studies, they'll hear directly from RWE employees and explore the different roles that make offshore wind projects possible.
Students will find out how wind turbines generate electricity, learn about the importance of sustainability and environmental protection, and discover how innovation is shaping the future of renewable energy. The programme also highlights the many pathways into the sector, from engineering and project management to environmental science, digital technology and operations.
Virtual work experience is a great way for young people to explore a growing industry at a time that suits them. The free programme can be completed at their own pace and includes a range of interactive tasks designed to build knowledge, confidence and career awareness. Students who complete the experience will receive a certificate and downloadable portfolio of their work.

Ideal for students who are interested in renewable energy, sustainability, engineering or technology, this experience provides a valuable introduction to careers that are helping to create a cleaner, greener future.
