Explorer Dome - Engineering Show

'We Make Our Future' is a new interactive, educational and entertaining science show for the next generation of engineers! Hands-on demonstrations and stunning visuals combine with friendly and professional presenters.

It takes place in a mobile planetarium or 'dome' that comes to your school or venue, and each show lasts up to 50 minutes.

Inside the dome, expect a celebration of the ingenuity of human engineering as a relevant and attainable aspiration for young people in KS3, whilst addressing current issues around Climate Change with a positive, locally focused mindset.

Industry, technology and invention have progressed civilisation, but at what cost? How can we work together to engineer solutions to climate change? Full-dome digital projections will help your pupils grasp, and rise to, the challenge climate change presents to our planet. And introductions to real-life engineers will inspire them!

Empower your class to think scientifically so they can positively approach the Net Zero challenge in their local community.

Capacity

The Standard Dome accommodates up to 25 (KS3) students per show and requires a smooth clean floor area of 6m x 7m, a clear ceiling height of 3.5m and access to mains power.

The Large Dome accommodates up to 30 (KS3) students per show and requires a smooth clean floor area of 8m x 9m, a clear ceiling height of 3.5m and access to mains power.

Location

Explorer Dome is based in Bristol but specialises in travelling to all areas of the UK - no island or area is too rural or remote! And as they come to you, it keeps costs and logisitics low while providing a fully immersive science experience for your group.
