Engineering Experience Northern Ireland

A hands-on, three-day residential summer course at Queens University in Belfast that gives students the chance to immerse themselves in cyber security, electrical and space engineering.

Engineering Experience Northern Ireland

This exciting programme offers young learners in Years 9 and 10 (NI) the chance to spend several days fully immersed in creativity, hands-on STEM challenges, and problem-solving - all while building connections with like-minded peers.

During the programme, participants will explore three areas of engineering:
Cyber Security - Crack codes, explore encryption, and learn how to stay safe online through interactive puzzles.
Electrical Engineering - Build and test an FM radio while learning circuits, soldering, and practical electronics skills.
Space Engineering - Design and prototype spacecraft, discovering their role in communication, research, and exploration.

Throughout the course, students are guided by the organiser's STEM Engagement Specialists, receiving insight into the engineering industry as well as valuable career advice. Evening social activities provide a fun, collaborative environment to meet peers and build confidence.
