Engineering a Sustainable World virtual work experience with IChemE

Overview

To discover and explore what it’s like to be a chemical engineer working in different industries, young people can access this interactive virtual work experience programme called 'Engineering a sustainable world'.

The programme features bite-sized interactive modules about chemical engineering and its importance in energy, food and drink, water, and healthcare​. The modules include:

  • Different career routes explained
  • Skills needed to help employability
  • Find out where chemical and process engineers work
  • Quizzes and activities to help students improve their knowledge

Logistics

Hosted by experience provider Springpod, the programme features over 6 hours of engaging content that can accessed on demand.

Students are able to download a certificate record their achievement.

The work experience programme is accompanied by a mini project also listed on Neon called the IChemE Sprint where students can try a real-world task. You can find out more about the sprint by clicking on the IChemE link above the 'Check availability' button at the top.
