Workshop

Discover energy with Megawatt

Learning through play with the Megawatt card game! A facilitated workshop where students will build an electricity grid and compete to see who can withstand the effects of climate change.

Discover energy with Megawatt

A hands-on, fun experience in which students will play Megawatt, a card game that challenges players to build an electricity grid. Based on real-world data, students will attempt to balance power, impact and cost to build an electricity grid with different energy sources and technologies. Their grids are then put to the test with political or climate events to see who has the most resilient grid.

DBS-checked energy expert will come to your school and deliver a Megawatt workshop suited to your needs - from a 1 hour session all the way to a full day workshop, including a careers talk and a teacher training session to learn how to use Megawatt in the classroom. The facilitators are energy experts and work as engineers in the energy industry, so are well placed to answer any questions about energy or career pathways.

Megawatt's mission is to inspire curiosity about sustainable energy and develop the problem solvers of the future, and they hope to do this for your school.
