How can Neon help schools?
Neon is here. This incredible online platform has been designed to help teachers, careers co-ordinators and school leaders source a wealth of trusted experiences and resources in one place.
At its heart, Neon is about giving schools access to the UK's best engineering experiences. The engineering sector has responded to the challenges of 2020 by adapting existing programmes and creating inspiring digital experiences to enhance the existing engineering outreach opportunities. Neon provides valuable resources for all schools to benefit from immediately online as well as by offering real-world experiences to plan for this term or later in the year.
Our experiences are aligned to key careers information, help you hit Gatsby benchmarks, build up students’ skills and showcase real-world applications of engineering. More than that, they are provided by the UK’s leading STEM and engineering organisations.
Powered by the team behind Big Bang and Tomorrow’s Engineers, Neon also houses careers resources, such as videos, quizzes and case studies to use in class.
Teachers from around the UK have come together to share their tips on effectively engaging their students in engineering careers. From setting competitions to starting STEM clubs and work experience approaches, their films highlight what has worked for them and provide ideas about how Neon can help you inspire your class even more.
Four very special engineers are helping us celebrate the Neon launch by talking about their unique journeys into engineering. There are so many routes into engineering and so many options for specialisms. Open your students’ eyes and challenge their perceptions with these inspiring films.
