The International Day of Mathematics: Tech for Finance

A free virtual live lesson for students aged 11 to 14 years old on 14 March highlighting the role technology plays in finance, and what careers are available.

The International Day of Mathematics: Tech for Finance

Join Tech She Can on Friday 14 March at 9.30am, when their Tech She Can Teacher, Poppy, will deliver a free virtual 45-minute Tech We Can LIVE lesson for students aged 11-14. This will be an interactive session where students will be guided to complete paper-based tasks and partner discussions, so they will need to be based at a table with a piece of paper and a pen or pencil.

Poppy will explain what finance is, and how technology is developing in this area - from revolutionising wealth management to securing financial systems against cyber threats. Students will discover how cutting-edge innovations are shaping the future of money and find out about some of the diverse technology careers they could pursue in the finance industry.

This resource is suitable for a lesson in the classroom environment or from home.
