Sounds Like Science

Sounds Like Science is an exciting workshop specially crafted for students in Years 3 and 4 that explores the science of sound. This interactive and immersive experience combines the excitement of experimentation with the joy of music-making, all while aligning with key learning objectives in the Year 4 curriculum.

The heart of the workshop lies in hands-on exploration as students delve into a series of captivating experiments with boomwhackers. Through these experiments, participants uncover the fundamental principles behind sound production, delving into concepts such as vibrations, volume, and pitch.

The workshop concludes with the students joining together as a class to try and play a well known song using the techniques they have learnt!

Logistics

  • This workshop can be delivered in a standard classroom.
  • This experience is designed for a group of 10 to 30 learners.

Cost

£650+VAT for schools within an hour and a half of Derby. £770+VAT for schools beyond this. Discounts will be applied for multiple bookings.
