Renishaw's STEM Workshops & School Visits

Workplace STEM workshops and school visits to inspire young people towards careers in STEM!

Renishaw's STEM Workshops & School Visits

Renishaw is a global company with core skills in measurement, motion control, spectroscopy, and precision machining.

In their bid to grow a future STEM talent pipeline of young people into their business, and to bring real-world context and added value to local schools' science, technology, engineering and maths curricula, they have invested in a STEM Outreach team with dedicated STEM centre facilities at their headquarters site at New Mills, and at theirĀ Manufacturing site at Miskin.

Their STEM Outreach programme offers local schools a range of free workshops for students in years 7 to 13, and STEM assemblies for primary aged students. These engagements are designed to inspire students to consider STEM careers, and help them to understand more about how exciting a career in engineering can be.

The STEM Outreach team is complimented by more than 150 STEM Ambassadors from different roles across the business, including current graduates and apprentices, who all want to help students to see how great and achievable a career in engineering can be.
