Workshop
Take your learning outside and discover how engineers develop strength in structures from domes to bridges to teepees and tarp shelters
In this workshop, teachers can choose from a range of different options to learn in and out of the classroom.
Students develop knowledge about the strength in structure and will extend existing knowledge about forces to develop an understanding of how engineers apply the principles.
From small geodesic domes to 4m diameter builds, or building teepee and tarp shelters through to building towers and making structures using STIXX. There's a lot to choose from.
These engineering workshops are versatile, engaging and all link to the National Curriculum and fulfil OFSTED criteria.
Capacity
Minimum of 30 and maximum of 60 participants for the full day.
Cost
A full day’s workshop with a class (approx. 30 pupils) from £575. This can be split into 2 half-day sessions for 2 classes if the workshop is suitable.
Location
We do not charge travel costs on top of our workshops if the location is within one hour of our office in Sandbach. Over 1 hour we will charge mileage; over 2 hours we may need to add accommodation costs on top but we can offer a full quote before purchase.
