British Science Week: Tech for Connectivity

A free virtual live lesson for students aged 11 to 14 years old on 12 March highlighting the role technology plays in keeping everyone online and what careers are available.

British Science Week: Tech for Connectivity

Have your students ever wondered what the internet is and how we connect to it? What happens when we lose our WiFi signal and what does broadband actually mean? Could your students see themselves working in a future career helping everyone stay connected in the online world?

Join Tech She Can on Wednesday 12 March at 2:00pm, when their Tech She Can Teacher, Sarah, will deliver a virtual 45 minute Tech We Can LIVE lesson for students aged 11 - 14.

This will be an interactive session where the children will be guided to complete paper based tasks and partner discussions - they therefore need to be based at a table with a piece of paper and pen/pencil.

Sarah will highlight the history behind the internet and how technology is used to enable us to communicate online. She will also explore the many different ways we can connect to the internet.

Throughout the lesson, Sarah will highlight lots of related technology careers which students could pursue in the future.

The content is ideal in the classroom environment or from home.
