Workshop

Solar Tower STEM Session

Provide a unique experience for your Secondary School students by signing up for one of the STEM Sessions.

Solar Tower STEM Session

Your students will be tasked to work in small teams to complete a hands-on engineering project to build a Solar Tower.

All materials for this challenge can be easily sourced, as it uses everyday items which are readily available. Schools will be provided with a kit list.

All STEM Session activities are virtual interactive workshops hosted by a Smallpeice Trust educator and designed to complement the national curriculum.

For schools across the UK, this will help you to meet your Gatsby benchmarks. All of our STEM activities encourage young people to consider the possibilities of a career in engineering and help them to build life and leadership skills in line with the Skills Builder partnership.

Sessions run at 09.15, 10.15, 11.15, and 14.15. Schools are welcome to join as many sessions as they want to and to join whichever sessions they prefer. Plus, multiple classes can join together.
