Disaster has struck... but all is not lost! Take on the role of engineers in this hands-on, creative, engineering workshop.
This engaging workshop is based on the popular science book “The Knowledge. How to rebuild the world from scratch” by Professor Lewis Dartnell. This book explores a post-apocalyptic world where the lucky survivors are forced to return to fundamental principles of engineering and science to rebuild civilization.
Students work in teams to think up ideas, plan and test their designs, and improve them based on what they find out. This workshop has problem-solving and critical thinking at its heart, making it perfect for students who find STEM subjects more challenging than their peers.
The workshop has been designed with deaf audiences in mind. If you are a deaf school or a school with an accompanying deaf unit, we will work alongside your staff and teachers to provide the required communication support. Alternatively, if you prefer, an external BSL interpreter can be arranged at an additional cost.
Minimum of 6 participants, maximum of 15 participants.
