Competition
An introduction to the exciting world of engineering & STEM using K’Nex to solve a given challenge.
Primary
Working in teams, students are given an introduction to the exciting world of engineering by using K’Nex to find a solution to a problem we set them. Teams will be assessed based on their ability to work together, solve problems, produce a working model, and communicate their ideas both to each other, and to a judge from an engineering company. The team with the best solutions will be invited to the Gloucestershire K’Nex final.
This one day workshop uses K’Nex, which is a very adaptable construction kit that allows the pupils to experiment with structures, gears and other mechanisms while modelling their design.
Capacity
Minimum of 12 participants, maximum of 36 participants.
Cost
Pricing starts at £160 per school. Each school may receive a subsidy from Renishaw.

One session lasts 2 to 3 hours.
