Elite Skills Academy

The Elite Skills Academy workshops are suitable for up to 60 students aged 14 to 18. The workshops help develop mental and physical attributes through a series of tasks focused on teamwork, problem solving and enjoyment!

Serving soldiers including engineers, healthcare professionals and technicians deliver the activity, giving students the opportunity to find out more about STEM and other career paths and learn more about the Army.

Duration

Depending on the needs of the school, the Elite Skills Academy can be delivered in a minimum of 2 hours and up to 2 days. 

Learning outcomes

  • Improve engagement, interest or enjoyment in STEM subjects

  • Develop engineering employability skills

  • Improve awareness and aspirations for STEM-related study and careers

  • Challenge stereotypes by showing the diversity of disciplines, people and skills involved in engineering
