British Science Week: Tech for Sport

A live virtual lesson for KS2 on 14 March explaining how technology is used in sports and sport based careers.

British Science Week: Tech for Sport

Do your students love watching or playing sports? Could they see themselves working in a future career in sport?

Join Tech She Can on Thursday 14 March at 09:30am, and watch their Learning Design and Development Officer (and experienced primary school teacher), Poppy Patel, deliver a virtual 60 minute LIVE lesson for children aged 7-11.

This will be an interactive session where the students will be guided to complete paper based tasks and partner discussions - they therefore need to be based at a table with a piece of paper and pen/pencil.

Poppy will highlight the importance of technology in sport, and the vital part it plays in a variety of areas including training athletes, developing sports equipment and supporting inclusion in sports. She will also show some of the tech careers within sports that students could pursue in the future.

The content is ideal for a Key Stage 2 lesson (P4 - P7 in Scotland) in the classroom environment or from home. Simply complete the registration form to reserve your spot and you will receive a link to join the live lesson.

This session is being delivered to complement British Science Week. British Science Week is a ten-day celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths that will take place between 8 - 17 March 2024.

Please join from 9:15am onwards. Webinar access will be locked at 09:40am.
