What will cities look like in 2050? How will they be powered to be vibrant, healthy and clean places to live? That’s the question put to students by The Bright Ideas Challenge, Shell’s cross-curricular schools’ competition. It invites young people to use their creativity, problem-solving, teamwork and STEM skills to devise innovative solutions that could power cities of the future. With up to £10,000 up for grabs, there’s every reason to think big!
All resources and information for entering the competition are now available on our website.
The competition runs over for a 7 month period during the school year. Schools can submit an entry when ready during the 7 months. It can take as little as 2.5 hours to complete, though there is no strict upper or lower limit on how long teams spend on their entries.
