Practical STEM workshops to excite and enthuse young people about STEM subjects.

Secondary STEM Workshops

Covering science, technology and coding, these workshops will inspire and enthuse your students about STEM subjects and help them understand the value of careers in the sector.

Capacity

Minimum of 15 participants, maximum of 60 participants.

Cost

Activities are free to schools in Northern Ireland. For schools in other areas typical cost is £150 to £250, depending on duration, numbers involved and cost of materials.

Duration

Workshops can be tailored to suit the needs of each class, typically it is a half-day or full-day programme, working with a range of classes.

Learning outcomes

  • Improve engagement, interest or enjoyment in STEM subjects

  • Learning what the engineering workplace is like

  • Improve awareness and aspirations for STEM-related study and careers

  • Challenge stereotypes by showing the diversity of disciplines, people and skills involved in engineering
