The Big Bang is back and this time, it’s digital! Give your students an inspirational insight into the world of science, engineering and the amazing work of scientists and engineers in a pandemic.
Big Bang Digital – Science, engineering & Covid-19 gives students the chance to hear from people working in science and engineering during the pandemic. It celebrates their achievements, hears about challenges, innovation and collaboration and explores some upsides to lockdown.
Broadcast live in July 2020, Big Bang Digital is now available on demand.
Students will hear from the people using their skills and experience to fight Covid-19 on the frontline, to keep things moving, keep the lights on and keep food in the shops. They’ll discover how people have been supporting the environment and promoting wellbeing.
TV & Radio Science Presenter, Podcaster & YouTuber Greg Foot is the host, bringing his usual energy and enthusiasm to the session. Greg explores the topics with a range of guests, putting questions from students to the experts.
Big Bang Digital is full of fantastic sessions to show young people the amazing things you can achieve in STEM. It also includes a key workers tribute show by Gastronaut Stefan Gates presenting a stunning scientific adventure through the colours of the rainbow.
A recording of the day’s live stream and the 16 individual sessions are available on demand on any device and can be watched at home or in school.
If you want to inspire more young people to consider a career in STEM, point them to #BigBangDigital.
