Skills Miner Home Energy - Education with Minecraft

Interactive and educational Minecraft game to play in the classroom: give a budget to an 11 to 14 year old and let them compete to build the most sustainable heating system for their home!

Skills Miner Home Energy - Education with Minecraft

Uncover engineering skills through gameplay with Enginuity's latest game!

Skills Miner Home Energy encourages the development of green engineering skills through a familiar domestic world that poses power and energy challenges.

  • Enginuity provide the Minecraft games and lessons for your students to play in lesson-time
  • Enginuity provide support to teachers on how to use Minecraft in lessons
  • Enginuity offer to help with any guidance if needed‍

Give your students a budget and challenge them to make their house the most energy efficient in the classroom.

They can choose between options they may know about, such as low energy lighting and insulation, to technologies that might be new to them such as heat pumps or hydrogen boilers. Throughout the game they will discover the pros and cons of the decisions they make while learning about sustainability and climate change.

Can they beat our best score of 81? If they do, get in touch with us because we'd love to meet the engineers of the future!
